Introducing Relationship February
Happy February 1st!
Today, we are introducing relationship February. Let’s welcome the month of love and relationships and acknowledge black history month. For Valentine’s Day this year, we won’t take any cookies, chocolate boxes or basket orders. Instead, we want to help (us) lay a relational foundation ground for the rest of the year.
As some know, connection is the best way to fight the blue valentines. On cold and gloomy days, connection takes the place of the sun in our lives. We can find the warmth and colour we crave in others. What’s best is that we are all going through it. This is an excellent time of the year to prune your relationship dynamics, behaviours, and perspectives.
We all crave the ‘life’ and ‘green’ of the warmer months. Ergo, in a way, we are all a little vulnerable, and as much as we try to avoid it, vulnerability is an excellent tool for connection. Realizing other people also have imperfections and are going through the motions, we go through can help us cope and feel better. It allows us to accept those feelings, and once we embracce them, our capacity to transmute them heightens.
Embracce seeks to help you cultivate relationships in different life contexts. It seems fitting to honour various relationships that make up our life. In February, there is much focus on romantic relationships. But other relationships can be as meaningful and fulfilling as romantic ones. In fact, like in other aspects of life, the key to maintaining healthy relationships with others lies in having a healthy variety/diversity of them in the first place
This month, we will honour fourteen relationships worth reflecting on and cultivating as whole individuals and community agents. Some relationships don’t involve another person but influence how we relate to ourselves, others, and our environment. Ideally, these reflections will motivate (us) to keep exploring our relationships all year.
Stay tuned for our Relationship February Series. Have a fantastic Wednesday!
