Network relationships are interesting! They are also essential, so their cultivation is a must.
From research, networking relationships lead to some type of business benefit. However, isn’t that what friends should also be about?
Doesn’t a good friend link you up with opportunities?
When networking, that’s at the front center of the relationship, and your interactions must carry a professional and respectful tone to them.
Networking should be like making new friends, becoming friends with mature people open to business benefits and sharing opportunities.
However, ideally, networking connections should be sincere.
When you are truly curious about someone and want to get to know them, you can help them advance their goals.
It is fantastic to meet professional, respectful and ambitious people -meaning they are working towards something meaningful to them. We all are.
Sometimes we think of our networking relationships as something foreign and assume they must be a little fabricated.
The truth is that you either connect with someone or don’t. Regardless of, you have the opportunity to meet new people!
In networking situations, it is essential to remember that other people might feel the same way you do. They might not know what to say, which may be strange. They might be naturally more introverted or flow easily.
If you have the mindset that we are all in this together, it might be easier to meet people for the sake of meeting new people that do exciting things.
Let’s Embracce and cultivate the relationships we find while networking and try to invest in them if we see fit. These relationships can lead to making good friends, and who doesn’t like to have good friends?
You can’t possibly help somebody you don’t know, and vice-versa. So, there’s got to be a genuine interest in meeting new people.
